Dan’s teaching and research focus on innovation and technology, including the use of artificial intelligence and data analytics to improve legal-services delivery as well as the law, regulation, and governance of computational technologies. Dan is also an affiliated faculty member at CodeX — The Stanford Center for Legal Informatics. Dan began his legal career with a one-year judicial clerkship for U.S. Court of Appeals Judge James L. Ryan. After his clerkship, he joined Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn, where he was elected equity partner in 2013. Before law school, Dan was an information technology manager, developer, and consultant.

Dr. Irina Matveeva is Chief of DS and AI at Reveal where she leads research and development of AI/ML technologies. Dr. Matveeva is also adjunct professor at the Illinois Institute of Technology. Dr. Matveeva has ten years of experience in eDiscovery and led the data science team at NexLP before joining Reveal. She has an extensive background in search technologies and industry research from her work at Accenture Technology Labs. Dr. Matveeva frequently presents on the subject of AI and NLP. Dr. Matveeva earned her PhD from the University of Chicago. Her research interests include NLP and continual multilingual learning.

Kristian Hammond is the Bill and Cathy Osborn Professor of Computer Science at Northwestern University and the co-founder of the AI company Narrative Science (recently acquired by Salesforce). He has spent most of his career focused on the problem of making machines smarter. He works on bridging the communication gap between the data we gather and the information that is locked within it. In 2023, he was named a Fellow of the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence. He believes in humanizing computers with the aim of stopping the process of mechanizing people. Kris received his PhD from Yale.
