Cheryl Burtzel is an experienced transactions and compliance attorney, assisting clients on technology transactions, privacy, cybersecurity and data security, supply chain transactions, public/private partnership deals, and procurement legal matters. She has led transaction teams and negotiated for clients in the healthcare, financial institution, utility, manufacturing and technology industries. Extensive experience working as Senior Managing Counsel and Legal Director for a Global Fortune 50 company provides her with strong knowledge in leading global teams during complex transactions, compliance, policy development and implementation, and crisis management.

Tyler Diers serves as TechNet’s Executive Director of the Midwest Region and oversees state advocacy in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Tennessee, and Wisconsin. He’s based in Chicago. Diers joined TechNet from the Illinois Chamber of Commerce, where he served as Executive Director of the Chamber's Technology Council, which he launched in 2018. Previously, Diers was a legislative analyst in the Office of the Senate Minority leader, where he assisted the Senate Executive Committee and staffed the Senate Local Government Committee. He is a native of the Chicagoland area and a graduate of the Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.
